About me
Inspiration
When I semi-retired, I found I had some time on my hands and saw an advert placed by Wandsworth Council for a watercolour class held almost under the shadow of Battersea Power Station. I joined and was mentored by a small group of professionally trained artists. They encouraged me to join The Society of Fulham Artists and Potters and, although now living in Chichester, I continued to be a member until very recently. It was initially a steep climb as they encouraged me to exhibit some of my works only 6 months later. Nothing sold of course. but it was a good experience. I have built on that ever since and am now beginning to experiment with acrylic, mixed media and oil painting.
My Unique Style & Vision
I think I use stronger watercolour than is traditional. I love colour and I want to create a mood or stir a memory that is personal to the viewer.
A Memorable Moment
I guess for many artists it is that first sale to someone you don't know.
